“I was wandering around a bookstore one evening waiting for a friend, and I stumbled upon a section of Moleskine books. There was an open one and I read the history behind the books, and was intrigued by its journey through time. I am a musician, so I’m in the ‘artist’ category, but I never took up the visual arts. I purchased a pocket sketchbook, not knowing what I was really going to draw in there since the only drawing I had ever done was in 7th grade art class. More than a decade later, Moleskine has helped me discover my enjoyment of sketching and drawing whenever I feel inspired, or the simple need to doodle.

This is a watercolor pencil scene of a trip to Florence, Italy. I sat on the wall and watched the thunderstorm move in from between the mountains and settle over downtown Florence. I’ll be starting book number two pretty soon, and more than likely, countless ones after that, which will accompany me in all of my travels. I even got an art teacher friend hooked on them! So thank you Moleskine for allowing me to discover another artistic side! ”

“In this hurried, digital age we’re in, I try to just slow things down a bit and just. Observe and record life in my moleskin.”

“Moleskine’s are the keeper of my sanity and I slightly lose it whenever I go too long without filling in some pages.”

Modern press and even digital artists start to include more and more of Moleskine art. Imperfect lines, spots and roughness make it natural and sincere - and digital artists, who draw with help of soft, now lack of these features as never before. In spite of any technology advance, pen and paper will always remain number one for every artist, either entry-level or professional.
No subject or thing will be left out by Moleskine any time an artist lets his hands create. Below you will find Moleskine works made in various styles by many artists and designers all over the world. (Seek after Ukrainian ones also!)
They won’t leave you indifferent, quite the contrary, they will inspire you to open your Moleskine and draw, draw, draw…
